How to Use Haircare Bars

THE WASH CYCLE

Most people apply the AlpacaSoaps shampoo bar directly to their WET hair and scalp, work up a lather, and work the lather down the length of their hair.

GENTLE WASH CYCLE

If your hair tangles easily or is very dry, or if your scalp is sensitive, create a lather with the shampoo bar in your hands first. Then gently apply and work the suds through your WET hair, avoiding aggressive circular motions.

THE RINSE CYCLE

After your hair is lathered, rinse it with warm water. Start at your roots and gently use your hands to help the running water clear the shampoo from your hair. When thoroughly rinsed, your hair will likely feel squeaky clean. With AlpacaSoaps shampoo bars, repeating the wash/rinse cycle is usually unnecessary.

ADDING CONDITIONER

Apply the conditioner bar directly to clean rinsed hair. Your hair should be VERY wet while applying; remember YOU are adding the water. If you like, allow it to remain in your hair for 2-3 minutes. While you wait, this would be an excellent time to use the same bar for shaving. When happy with the feel and slip of your hair, rinse thoroughly.

DRY AND STYLE

Before you leave the shower or bath, please store your bars where they can drain and dry. Gently towel dry and style your hair as usual.

RECOMMENDED HACK: During use, the shampoo bar can be kept in the organza bag it arrived in and then hung to dry.
