The Big Move!!!

Dear Diary:

4/28/2022: Tomorrow is a big day. Paulette and David will be closing on a new home they purchased in Clarksville, TN. This is both stressful and exciting. Stay tuned...

4/28/2022, 8:00 a.m.: It's house closing day. The big event happens in an hour. Toes and fingers crossed.

4/28/2022, 11: a.m.: Well... major screw up by notary sent to P&D's house for the signed of the closing documents so they get to start all over again sometime later today.

4/28/2022, late afternoon: Sweet Success!!! P&D are happy homeowners!!! Now we need to consider the space needed for the business.  She Shed (big one) vs. Retail/Rental Space.

5/2/2022: Today, we spent time TRYING to figure out the logistics of adding a She Shed to the backyard of a property. Hoping by tomorrow we will have a better understanding of the costs and timeline for this consideration should we choose this option. We are also working hard on a timeline for the actual move. In the meantime, Paulette is packing, packing and packing as well as teaching, teaching and teaching.

5/4/2022: Land surveyor hired to determine if we can pass inspections for our new production location. Fingers crossed everyone!

5/14/2022: Finally, someone showed up to cut the lawn at the new house. Our neighbors must be happy. We aren't there yet to see the results.

5/19/2022: Pack, pack, pack and pack! How can there possibly be so much stuff?!?!?! Dates are scheduled for the move in June. Dave will fly at the end of May and spend time with Cindy while Paulette makes the drive in early June (not alone - 3 fur babies and one human companion) from Brownsville, TX to Clarksville, TN. 

5/26: David is on his way to TN! :) :) Marko and Cindy are all ready for his week long visit while Paulette prepares to drive up to TN in about a week. She'll be traveling with her Daughter, three dogs, a lifetime of furniture and collectables, and AlpacaSoap's production materials. Yikes!

5/29: David has been here for a few days and settling in quite nicely. He's very good company! 

6/6: Paulette and Sarah have arrived!!! Two days of long travel but they have safely made it to the new home of Paulette and David and AlpacaSoaps. YES!!!

6/7: Unpack, unpack, unpack.

6/8: Unpack, unpack, unpack.
