Healthy Hair Still Requires a Haircut

I've avoided a professional haircut since before covid-19 reared its ugly head. It's impossible to avoid a haircut for too long. Your hair ends just need to be cut.  My hair was looking unkept. I had for a long time convinced myself that since my hair was so healthy it could go without a haircut. I'd occasionally trim some ends when I trimmed my bangs (myself) but yesterday there was no denying I could no longer put this off. While the hair ends were not split, they were looking bushy and discolored. However, still not being comfortable with going to a salon I visited YouTube instead.

YouTube has lots of haircutting tutorials so I weeded through many videos until I found a style I liked and then I watched a very beautiful young woman cut her own very long hair into layers. I slept on my newly acquired knowledge and woke up ready to take on the challenge. First, I washed and conditioned my hair with our fabulous bars. Next, I got the required supplies together (scissors, clips, brush, water bottle and comb). I watched the video again. Then I followed the instructions. I was done in 10 minutes!!! What!!!!!

And.... it came out great. Nicely layered and even on both sides of my head. And.... I saved myself money. Good start to the upcoming weekend. Video link is at the bottom of the blog post.

Thanks for reading,

Cindy Borsi

P.S. Yikes! My shoulder sure needed some lotion in this photograph. Gross.

P.S.S. Here's the link to the video.
